Dr. Johnson is excellent, explained the whole procedure and took time to address any concerns. He checked in with me regularly throughout the process, and I felt he genuinely cared about my comfort and how I felt about the entire experience. I felt confident in his care and ability.

I’ve been seen by Dr. Russ Johnson for over a year now and he is consistently exceptional. We have a discussion about current physical and mental state and he always asks about changes in either. Then asks about any new issues, checks and explains potential causes and diagnostics, orders any tests, scans etc. and he’s one of the few doctors that explains, elaborates on them when I ask questions. He is very proactive about checking my routine vaccinations. Then we discuss my exposure / risk factors and any current opportunistic infections and vaccinations I should consider. I can tell he is really up on the latest research because he is able to answer my questions about the efficacy rates of meds and vaccines and corrects any misinformation I may have gotten online. I know he always reviews my chart before the session based on what he asks. He is always well prepared. My experience is that he is one of the best doctors I’ve had over my 17 years with UCLA.

I had a generally positive experience with my doctor, but there were a few aspects that prevented me from giving a higher rating. The doctor demonstrated strong expertise and effectively addressed my concerns, which I appreciated. However, I felt rushed during the appointment, as the doctor seemed eager to conclude our session immediately after answering my questions. This made the experience feel somewhat hurried. Overall, while I trust my doctor's expertise, the rushed pace impacted my visit, leading to a 3-star rating.
